A Mouse's Hand

There before my eyes a wondrous world
Of fairies and talking mice began to unfurl.
A castle of brilliance, a giant blue hat.
Just imagine my face at the sight of all that!
A large white orb with a ride inside!
Fantastic ghosts and villains that lied.
I'd never been happier except maybe once.
I'd been waiting for this trip for many, many months.
I saw Cinderella, Goofy and Minnie's house!
But the best part of all was the handshake of a mouse.
This mouse laughed funny and was very tall.
His name was Mickey and he was loved by all.
I'd seen him before, a lot in fact.
But this time was different, he could talk back!
I shook the gloved hand and smiled real wide,
Because truth be told I was amazingly happy inside.
